I love this. Each of your flowers seems to have a halo of its own color around it. I'd love to see some progress paintings of how you achieve that effect. It's lovely!
I love the light and composition in this painting. I looks like a carnation and you did a great job with the gesture. I can never seem to work well with a dark background and yours is perfect!

Back to a very dark background. It seems I lean toward the extremes of a very light or very dark background. Perhaps, a mid-tone is in order soon.
