Three different pink flowers, each facing a different direction..... the plan was to quickly paint the same flowers in a different composition but Thanksgiving preparations took precedence.
I love your items as well as the flowers. Each flower and what it rests on, or in, is a beautiful still life on its own and yet they work in a lovely and complete painting together.
Just found your blog thru DPW, and it was this painting that drew me. It is absolutely stunning. You have a gentle sensitivity but a strong compostion and a powerful painting resulted. I looked over some others and I have to say I love your style. It comes thru on each painting and I will be following your blog. Just lovely.
This is really quite lovely. If you really didn't follow your plan, it worked out beautifully anyway.
ReplyDeleteOh I really really really love this. The pink flowers are the best.

ReplyDeleteSusan I just love the pops of pink against the neutral background! I hope you had a good Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteLove this composition...the softness of the flowers and bright colors really draw the eye across the canvas. Lovely!
