Orange Mum

The orange mum, front and center, wasn't quite that big relative to the other flowers. It just had a dominant personality that was hard to ignore.

  2. I love the beautiful edges in your work Susan. Edges are one of the things I love about painting in oils. Thanks for the YouTube link. The painting I want to oil out is completely dry. What medium do you mix with OMS when you oil out?

  3. Hi Claire, I use linseed oil since that is what I use during painting. I don't know if you would use linseed oil if you used a different medium such as liquin. That might take an online search or perhaps an email to the medium manufacturer.

  4. I'm glad you didn't ignore it, it's beautiful - I think exaggerating what we're drawn to is good practice.

  5. Beautiful painting!! Love the simplicity and the vibrant color against the whites. Also I'm intrigued with the amorphousness of the central mum and the little blue daisy which is so delicately articulated.
