Magnolia Grandiflora is the official state flower of both Mississippi and Louisiana. My knowledge of horticulture is very limited--I just learned that little tidbit from Wikipedia. Glad we have magnolias in Connecticut as well, they are beautiful this spring.
Love this - I love all the white. Its so expertly handled and reminds me of a still life that Sotheby's is auctioning off this month by Scottish Artist Anne Redpath.
