A Pair and a Slice, I and II

I did the first painting in oil and then thought I would try the same set up in acrylic. They act so differently. Acrylics just don't blend the same as oils (at least in my hands.)

Rainy Day Flowers

Yesterday, a friend and I spent a very rainy afternoon painting together. This painting was the result.

Rose with Lemon

Although I usually paint with oils, inspired by Lisa Daria's lovely acrylic paintings, I decided to try acrylics. Wow, so different. Fun but frustrating. I will try them again!

Up, Down, Up

The opening reception for the Still Life Invitational at Susan Powell Fine Art is tonight, 6-8 pm. So excited! This is another one of the eight paintings that will be included in the exhibit.

Here and There

Tomorrow a still life exhibit will open at Susan Powell Fine Art in Madison, CT. This painting will be included along with 7 other of my paintings.
